We decided to sell our wristbands for two reasons: (1) we wanted to raise money for
schizophrenia research and (2) we wanted to raise hope and support for schizophrenia by wearing
these wristbands and showing that we aren't afraid of schizophrenia. The two-tone blue
represents split-mind; we chose blue because that was Joshua's favorite color. "Hope for
Schizophrenia" is written on the light blue side because that is what we have and what we want
everyone to have for this illness--hope. "Joshua's Song" is written on the dark blue side to
represent a beautiful song written for Joshua after his death. Support schizophrenia and give
hope to this illness by getting a wristband and proudly wearing it.
Joshua’s Song

Photographs & memories,
Loving stories retold,
Touched so many of us,
Truly, you were gold,
Your spirit will live on,
Carried by those you loved,
A legacy of strength,
Is how you’ll be thought of,
You…the beautiful son,
Bringing your mother such joy,
It was always evident,
That she loved her baby boy,
She called you her hero,
From stories…I understand why,
Your life…an inspiration,
A hero indeed…who could deny?
Now…you are free,
Enjoy peaceful flight,
You are no longer bound,
By shadows in the night,
A beautiful soul,
Has found his way home,
The voices now heard,
Only angels could own,
By photographs and memories,
Amothers loving song,
Your energy & your light,
Will forever live on
