JSHS and Shakey's Team Up for the
Austin Festival!

On May 24, 2008, the Austin Festival and the community of Austin, AR
welcomed JSHS and Shakey's, as the two groups teamed up to sell ice cream and
raise money for the JSHS's upcoming scholarship program. While the sun shined
brightly, the momentum at our booth was even brighter.

One of our organization's main causes is to spread awareness about
schizophrenia. Our two founders, Debbie and Jessica Scharbor, had the pleasure
of meeting not only family members of schizophrenia sufferers, but also two
sufferers themselves. This experience illuminated our organization's cause to
spread awareness by connecting to those families directly in need.

We also had our signature wristbands for a cause, pamphlets on mental illness
and notepads with pens. These items sparked interest in our organization and our
purpose. As we explained the heroic story of Joshua and his sufferings, donations
for our organization were collected. The event is considered a success not only
because of the money raised but also because more people in the community
understand what JSHS hopes to achieve.

We had 300 junior sized concretes, donated by Shakey's on JFK in
North Little Rock. What we did not sell at the festival, we sold
at a local K-mart in Cabot, AR the next day. We feel blessed that
JSHS was a part of such a wonderful event, and we  are thankful
                for our sponsors and volunteers.

With continued dedication to our cause, JSHS will have the honor of seeing their
new scholarship program succeed. We want to especially thank the local
volunteer fireman of Austin, AR for setting up our booth and allowing us to
participate in the event.

This heroic local family of a
schizophrenia sufferer shared
their story with us. This is a
father, mother and daughter
all dedicated to supporting
their loved one through this
illness. We applaud this family
for their dedication and hope
more families will step out and
tell their stories.
