On September 25th, 2006, the lives of one family changed forever, as they lost their
beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Joshua John Scharbor was a
paranoid schizophrenic; after years of being tortured on earth, Joshua now rests in peace
with the Lord. We were left a grieving family who didn't know what their next move would be
or should be.

We are now a mother and daughter who have decided the only thing we can do is still help
Josh and help families who have sons or daughters who are schizophrenic. We want to
help raise money for schizophrenia research; we want to help give families knowledge and
insight into this challenging, life-changing illness. And, we want to tell Joshua's story;
through this, we hope to save another family from the pain, the shock of losing a loved one
to suicide.

We are Christians. We do believe that Joshua is heaven; he loved the Lord and was a
child of God. We believe that through prayer and  through believing that all things are
done for the good of the Lord, we can survive and be stronger. Having Joshua in our lives
was an honor, a privilege, a joy, and our memories with him will help us live each day
knowing how truly blessed we were to have such a special person in our lives.
